Is fiji a female or male dog's name?

I am getting a puppy with my boyfriend and my puppy will be a male. I want to name him Fiji but my boyfriend thinks its female name. We are arguing about it but i think it would be a cute name. Its a little 6 lbs fluffy dog. Thanks
