What is a cute name for a male, black lab mix puppy?

My husband and I just adopted a puppy and cannot think of a name for him. He is a black miniature labradoodle, which is a lab/poodle mix. He is very sweet, playful, and smart. I was thinking about the name Onyx, but kind of prefer "human" names. Any suggestions on appropriate dog or human names? Thanks!
