Is "Candy" is a good name for my male orange tabby?

I wanted to call him "Garfield" but aren't all orange cats named that already?

Day 2.... my 8 month kitten and this new 6 week kitten sorta started playing with each other... the 8 month likes to put stick his paws under the door and the 6 week will claw at it while hissing... at least they are touching each other unlike yesterday when they would hiss and run away.

Is "Candy" is a good name for my male orange tabby?
Yeah it sounds like a girl name, everyone you know would refer to her as a "she." Mine was named Puff Puff when I was a kid. Actually had 27 Puff Puffs over the years from all the offspring!
Reply:Candy? For a male? If you do, be prepared to everyone to think HE is a SHE.
Reply:no its a girl name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:I think you should name your cat whatever makes you feel good. It is only between you and the cat anyway. My neighbor one had an apricot cat named Marilyn Monroe because he stretched out like Marilyn did in her nude calendar photo. They thought that the cat was a female at the time but ended up being male. The name Marilyn stuck though all through its life.
Reply:I dont think so it sounds more like a female cat, you should maybe name is something like Ginger.
Reply:Good as any other.
Reply:Actually most orange cats are not names garfeild they are named MARMALADE, i have a orange tabby and her name is Macaronie like Mac and cheese i work at a vets office and i have never heard the name garfeild and i think that is because like waht you said everyone names their orange cat that i would go with what ever you wanted hes yours isnt he. And for the record 85% of orange cats are males.
Reply:yes..sounds a lot better than garfield
Reply:Sorry I dont think it's a good name . Try tom or milow . Maybe hunter . Those are all nice name.
Reply:I named my female cat Candy Sue.
